An RPD report said at 8:40 p.m. a customer at a business in the 1600 block of West Harvard Avenue called to report the 66-year-old as a DUII driver whose vehicle almost collided with another vehicle.

A few minutes later an officer found the vehicle pulling into the parking lot of a store in the 1500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. The officer observed numerous signs of impairment. The man admitted to drinking alcohol and refused standard field sobriety tests. He requested an attorney, so all questioning was stopped, and he was arrested. The officer applied for, and was granted, a search warrant. The driver was taken into custody. He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants. Bail was set at $10,000
