A Heat Advisory remains in effect from 8:00 a.m. Thursday through 9:00 p.m. Monday for central and eastern Douglas County including the cities of Roseburg and Toketee Falls.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said temperatures of 100 to 110 degrees are expected.

An Urgent Weather Message said hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. Area rivers will be cold and can cause shock to swimmers.

Forecasters said residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Residents should take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
