HEAT ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTY: THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY

A Heat Advisory is in effect from 8:00 a.m. Thursday through 9:00 p.m. Monday for central Douglas County including Roseburg and Camas Valley.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said temperatures of 100 to 110 degrees are expected.

An Urgent Weather Message said hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

Forecasters said residents should take precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke are seen.
