WOODBURN WOMAN JAILED FOR POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE

A Woodburn woman was jailed on the charge of possession of a stolen vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Sunday night.

A Roseburg Police report said at 10:50 p.m. officers stopped the 30-year-old driver for a traffic violation near the intersection of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Douglas Avenue. The car was stolen from Woodburn and the driver was the suspect. According to the Woodburn Police Department, the suspect took the vehicle on a “test drive” two days earlier and never returned with the vehicle. The owner responded and took possession of the vehicle.

The suspect was detained on $10,000 bail.
