Roseburg Police cited two people for prohibited camping on Monday.

An RPD report said at 8:10 a.m. the 36-year-old woman and 42-year-old man were contacted at their camp in Gaddis Park, in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. Their camp has been set up in the same place for weeks.

This area is prohibited because it is next to the paved bike path and within 100 feet of the South Umpqua River. The camp exceeded the area of 10 feet by 10 feet and had items outside the tent. It was set up after 8:00 a.m. as well. The camp violated the time, place and manner ordinance.

Both people were released after being issued their citations.
