Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 2:00 a.m. the 49-year-old was contacted in a tent, between the bike path and the creek in Charles Gardner Park in the 2600 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard. He was in violation of the “place” portion of the camping ordinance but had not been in the location for more than 24 hours. The camp was posted, and he was given 2 hours to vacate. At 6:15 a.m. the man was contacted again in the same spot. He took his tent down after being cited and left the area
