CURTIN MAN JAILED AFTER ALLEGED BURGLARY

A Curtin man was jailed after an alleged burglary on Tuesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:15 p.m. a caller said two people were burglarizing a vacant residence in the 3000 block of Territorial Highway. Units arrived on the scene and found a pickup stashed in the bushes with stolen property inside it which came from the residence.

K9 Ozzy found 35-year-old Luke Harris hiding in the bushes behind the property. Harris stated he was only there as nobody lived there, and he wanted to take the wood and cabinets. Harris was charged with first-degree counts of burglary and theft, and second-degree criminal mischief. He was detained without bail.
