Roseburg Police jailed a fugitive after contacting him Monday morning.

An RPD report said at 10:30 a.m. the 43-year-old was found in his tent behind Legion Field near Northwest Stewart Park Drive. The suspect reportedly lied about his name multiple times and was found to have a warrant for his arrest.

He was transported to corrections for the warrant and for the new charge of giving false information to a peace officer. The man was detained on $6,250 bail.
