The City of Roseburg is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Public Works Commission.

A city release said the commission meets on the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. to provide long-range planning and strategies for financing capital improvements including sidewalks, lighting and storm drainage. The group also considers rules governing operations of the water system and its rate structure.

The Public Works Department provides responsive community services related to planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and management of public infrastructure. That includes streets, stormwater facilities, airport, public buildings, parks and other facilities.

Those interested in volunteering for this commission, can complete an application and email it to: info@cityofroseburg.org, drop it off at city hall’s Administration Department, or mail it to 900 Southeast Douglas Avenue in Roseburg, 97470.  Applications are available on the city website: www.cityofroseburg.org/you-government/commissions.
