A motorcyclist eluded a deputy in north Douglas County on Thursday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:45 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle heading towards Yoncalla from Lower Crest near the intersection of Eagle Valley Road and Wilson Road.

The motorcyclist accelerated, turned on to Wilson Road then left to South Cedar Road. The motorcyclist headed north. As there was a baseball game in progress nearby, the deputy terminated the pursuit for safety.
