Roseburg Police cited 11 people for prohibited camping on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 1:30 p.m. contacts were made along the riverbank in Gaddis Park, in the 800 block of Northwest West Highland Street, where there was a large group of encampments. Campers ranged in age from 30 to 70, Two of them had a large trash area surrounding their camp, which spanned an area of about 30 feet by 30 feet. It contained approximately four truckloads of garbage. They were also cited for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway.

All were released after their citations was issued.
