A bicyclist had minor injuries when his bike struck a vehicle on Sunday.

A Sutherlin Police report said just after 4:30 p.m. the 30-year-old man was riding through the alley in the 100 block of North Umpqua Street when his brakes apparently failed. A motorist turned from East Central Avenue and the bicycle struck the vehicle’s front quarter panel.

The bicyclist refused transport for medical attention.
