Roseburg Parks and Recreation invites women golfers to play, “Just for Fun” on Monday nights this summer.

A City release said starting June 17th, the recreation program offers women five chances to play golf and make new friends at the Stewart Park Golf Course on Northwest Stewart Parkway.

The recreational program will mix ladies together in different groups each week, so participants can meet and play with many others at the nine-hole golf course. Attendees can be placed in a group or bring a foursome of women who golf together.

Evening golf will be held June 17th, July 1st, 15th and 29th and on August 12th.

The $25 a night fee covers a greens fee, recreation fee and cart rental.  Players need their own clubs and basic knowledge about how to play golf. No lessons or instruction will be offered.

No pre-registration is needed. Just check in by 5:20 p.m. at the golf course desk and be ready to start playing at 5:30 p.m.
