A driver lost control of his vehicle, leading to a head-on freeway crash on Sunday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 4:00 p.m. the accident took place while a pickup was merging onto Interstate Five southbound at the Sutherlin interchange. The vehicle spun around and consequently caused an SUV to collide into it. Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled rest in the middle of the freeway.

Both drivers and one occupant sustained possible minor injuries. All were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
