Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged theft from a store on Saturday.

An RPD report said shortly after 6:00 p.m. officers responded to the business in the 200 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after a caller said a man was stealing alcohol. Officers arrived and located the 49-year-old who admitted to taking a beer without paying.

He was taken into custody and charged with third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,250.
