A Tigard man was jailed for a freeway DUII incident on Thursday afternoon.

A Sutherlin Police report said the 47-year-old was called in as a DUII driver after a witness saw the man falling down before getting in his vehicle on along Interstate 5 near Sutherlin.

The man was found less than a mile away on the freeway. He reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests and allegedly had alcohol in his car. The man was taken into custody. He refused a breath test so a warrant for his blood was signed. The man was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center where his blood was drawn.

He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants. Bail was set at $10,000.
