Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge of harassment following an incident on Wednesday.
An RPD report said at 3:30 p.m. the 63-year-old was contacted regarding a drinking in public issue near the corner of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and Northwest Highland Street. During the contact the man reportedly threw an open beer on an officer. He was taken into custody without further incident.
This was the man’s fourth citation for drinking in public at that location. He was also cited at approximately 9:30 a.m., just before 12:00 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m.
After the last incident he was charged with harassment. Bail was set at $2,500.
Two other people were cited for drinking in public Wednesday. Those incidents took place in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street and the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street and were given to a 50-year-old man and a 20-year-old man.
