In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Umpqua Community College Performing and Visual Arts Department is presenting a theatre performance titled “A Crooked Hand” through Sunday. The film-noir era detective comedy features the Umpqua Singers and is being performed in the Whipple Fine Arts Center
The theater will be transformed into the 1938 “Peppermint Pad Casino” for an evening of comedy and mystery. Sandwiches, desserts, and wine from the Southern Oregon Wine Institute will be available for purchase.
General admission is cash at the door: $15 for adults with seniors getting in for $10. Students of all ages are admitted for free.
Showtimes are nightly through Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Matinees will be performed Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. as well.
