Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just after 1:15 p.m. officers contacted the 40-year-old at the intersection of Northeast Jackson Street and Northeast Commercial Avenue after a citizen claimed the suspect had stolen some items from her trailer.

Ultimately the citizen did not want to pursue charges, but the man’s parole officer wanted him detained for criminal activity. He was detained without bail.
