As of early Wednesday, a bond measure in the Oakland School District is too close to call.
Updated Preliminary Unofficial Results from the Douglas County Clerk’s Office show the question ahead 51 percent to 49 percent. That is a margin of less than 20 votes. Patrons in the district were asked to approve a $4.5 million bond to replace the partially condemned Washington School Gym. If it passes, that money will be matched by a state grant to pay for the $9 million project.
