In partnership with the Oregon State Fire Marshal, North Douglas County Fire & EMS is offering positions for seasonal wildland firefighters.

Chief Brian Burke said the initiative not only helps to bolster their firefighting ranks but also provides invaluable experience in managing fire emergencies. Burke said the agency is also looking to expand its wildfire medical response team. For those who have medical training and want to serve in a dynamic and challenging environment, their skills could be crucial during wildfire emergencies. Applications are open and training will be provided.
