A Grants Pass man was jailed for an alleged theft incident on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 3:00 p.m. officers responded to the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after a caller said there had been a bike theft. Shortly after, 47-year-old Donald Brothers was found in the area with the bike and admitted to stealing it. Brothers originally gave a false name when contacted and admitted to giving false information because he had a warrant.

He was charged with second-degree theft, giving false information to a police officer and for multiple warrants, including two from out of state. Bail was set at $40,000.
