LESS THAN 18 PERCENT OF BALLOTS RECEIVED FOR MAY PRIMARY ELECTION

17.65 percent or 15,579 of Douglas County ballots have been received for the May Presidential Primary Election, as of late Friday.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said that lags 9.25 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2020 Primary Election.

Loomis said as of Saturday, it is now three days from Election Day.

*Voters who have not yet received a ballot, should contact or visit the Clerk’s Office.

*Those who take their ballot to the post office should ask staff to stamp their envelope with a hand-cancelation stamp. A ballot with a postmark after May 21st will not be counted.

*Voters can use one the fifteen official ballot drop sites, until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night and be assured their ballot will be received and counted. A list of those locations is linked: https://douglascountyor.gov/179/Official-Drop-Site-Locations
