Two California residents were jailed Thursday for an alleged home trespass incident.

A Roseburg Police report said at approximately 8:15 p.m. officers responded after a caller said a man and a woman were seen inside a residence in the 1400 block of Northwest Fairmount Street.

The 30-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were identified and told officers that their vehicle had broke down on the way to Portland from California, and they had entered the house to rest. They were arrested and taken to corrections.

The couple were charged with first-degree criminal trespass. Bail for each of them was set at $3,000. Their dog was taken to Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center.
