In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Umpqua Valley Youth Orchestra will hold their Spring Concert on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in Jacoby Auditorium of Umpqua Community College.

The family-friendly event will feature over 120 students from around Douglas County. They will be performing with violins, violas, cellos, and string bass. Music to be performed will include London Bridge, Medieval Kings, Harry Potter, Venetian Serenade, selections from La La Land and Danse Macabre.

Executive Director Kristin Parks said registration for next school year is currently open via: www.umpquavalleyyo.org. Parks said the concert is an excellent opportunity to see what the organization is all about. For more information about the UVYO call 643-5035.
