WYDEN ANNOUNCES FOUR TOWN HALLS IN SOUTHERN OREGON

May 17, 2024 3:25 a.m.

Senator Ron Wyden has announced that he will hold four in-person town halls in southern Oregon later this month.

A release said heading into these events, Wyden will have held 1,081 town halls throughout Oregon – including 16 so far this year – in fulfillment of his pledge to hold at least one town hall each year in each of the state’s 36 counties. These town halls originally had been scheduled for April, but had to be postponed due to Senate votes in Washington D.C.

Wyden said, “As I approach my 1,100th town hall, these direct town hall discussions remain vital, and I very much look forward to the upcoming discussions with Oregonians in Josephine, Curry, Coos, and Douglas counties”.

Douglas County’s town hall will be on Wednesday, May 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the

Pacific Auditorium of the Reedsport Community Charter Junior/Senior High School.

Other town halls are set for earlier that day in North Bend, and on the prior day in Coos Bay and Gold Beach.
