Roseburg Police jailed a woman for an alleged theft incident on Monday.

An RPD report said at 7:15 a.m. officers contacted the 72-year-old after a caller said the woman was trespassing inside Sherm’s Thunderbird in the 2700 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway.

The woman was allegedly riding a WinCo Foods electric cart that had a posting on it that clearly stated that it should not be removed from their property. WinCo wanted to pursue criminal charges and told officers the electric carts cost $1,360 each. The suspect was arrested and charged with first-degree theft. She was detained without bail and was released on Tuesday morning.
