Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping on Monday morning.

An RPD report said at 10:10 a.m. the 51-year-old was contacted in his camp on the hillside south of the Roseburg Municipal Airport property near the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Aviation Drive.

The campsite consisted of a series of tarps attached to the trees, which was outside the “manner” portion of the city ordinance. The area where the camp was set up is outside of the “place” portion of the ordinance. The man was also outside the “time” portion of the ordinance because it was set up after 8:00 a.m.
