11.56 percent, or 10,352 ballots for the May Presidential Primary Election have been received by the Douglas County Clerk’s Office, as of Monday.
County Clerk Daniel Loomis said that lags 5.81 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2020 Primary Election.
Loomis said as of Tuesday, the county is one week from election day. Reminders for voters include:
*Registered voters who have not received their ballot, should contact, or visit the clerk’s office.
*Elections staff will no longer attempt to mail reissued or replacement ballots. Voters must come into the office to pick them up.
*Those who use the US Postal Service should mail their ballot by Tuesday.
*Those who take their ballot to the post office should ask that the envelope be stamped with a hand-cancellation stamp. A ballot with a postmark after May 21st will not be counted.
Ballots can be turned in to one of fifteen official drop-sites in the county. A list of those locations is linked: https://douglascountyor.gov/179/Official-Drop-Site-Locations
