Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 3:15 p.m. officers contacted the 48-year-old at Charles Gardiner Park in the 2600 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard after he was seen sitting on a bench drinking a beer.

Officers learned the man was on parole and had a no intoxicants stipulation. He was detained without bail for the violation and cited for drinking in public.
