ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR REPORTED DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported disorderly conduct incident on Saturday night.

An RPD report said at 8:20 p.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of Northeast Stephens Street after a caller said a man was running into traffic. Officers found the 55-year-old in the bus stop at that location. The man was allegedly heavily intoxicated and became aggressive when asked to stay out of the road.

The suspect got up and charged towards officers, causing one of them to deploy a taser. During the arrest, the man allegedly kicked one of the officers multiple times. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment. Bail was set at $5,000.
