Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office cited and released a Roseburg man for DUII and reckless driving after an accident early Sunday.

A DCSO report said at 1:30 a.m. the 19-year-old was reported to have been in a single vehicle, single occupant accident on Colonial Road near the intersection with Hawkeye Lane, west of Roseburg.

The deputy who responded noticed that the driver had signs of impairment. The man admitted to drinking. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he underwent a blood draw. The driver suffered serious injuries in the wreck. The vehicle was towed away.
