OSP RESPONDS TO VEHICLE DOWN AN EMBANKMENT ACCIDENT

Troopers with Oregon State Police responded after a vehicle left Highway 138 East, a few miles east of Steamboat on Saturday night.

An OSP report said just after 9:30 p.m. a westbound pickup hit a boulder which was in the lane of travel. The 30-year-old driver from Ridgefield, Washington lost control of his vehicle. The pickup came to an uncontrolled rest approximately thirty feet down a steep embankment. Two crashes at that location were reported, due to boulders in the roadway. The driver and a passenger were not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
