Roseburg Police jailed a man on sixty-one forgery charges on Thursday.
An RPD report said at 4:15 p.m. officers contacted 31-year-old Justin Garcia of Camas Valley regarding a past investigation associated with depositing forged checks into his bank account. During a search, he was allegedly found to be in possession of additional forged checks and other evidence associated with this investigation.
Garcia was charged with eighteen counts each of first-degree forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument, eleven counts each of second-degree forgery and second-degree possession of a forged instrument, and ten counts each of computer crime and identity theft. Garcia was detained without bail.
