ROSEBURG POLICE CITE TEENS FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT

Roseburg Police cited two teens for an alleged assault incident early Thursday.

An RPD report said just after 7:30 a.m. a student at Roseburg High School on West Harvard Avenue allegedly confronted another student inside a bathroom stall regarding rumors being spread. The confrontation led to one student punching the other three times, causing a laceration to a lip.

The fight reportedly alarmed numerous students, who ran to find staff members to intervene. A 16-year-old female was cited for fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct. A third student was cited for second-degree disorderly conduct based on their alleged involvement in the situations.

The students were released to their parents after being cited.
