ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL ONE/CITE ONE AFTER DOWNTOWN CONTACT

Roseburg Police jailed a man and cited a woman after contact in the downtown area on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said just before 12:30 p.m. officers saw the 30-year-old Roseburg man and 34-year-old Canyonville woman drinking alcoholic beverages at Eagles Park in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street.

The woman had a dog with her and there was a pile of dog poop next to her. She confirmed that the poop was from her dog, and it had been there for at least thirty minutes. The man was found to have two warrants for his arrest.

Police jailed the man for the warrants and cited him for drinking in public. Bail was set at $20,000. The woman was cited for drinking in public, and dog waste matter. She was released after being cited.
