Roseburg Police cited nine people for prohibited camping in contacts at two locations early Wednesday.

An RPD report said just after 12:00 a.m. officers contacted seven people over the course of an hour at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. All were in a prohibited area for camping due to where they were in relation to the South Umpqua River.

They were released after their citations were issued. One of the individuals was also cited for outdoor burning.
