CAMAS VALLEY MAN JAILED IN STOLEN VEHICLE/DRUGS INCIDENT

A Camas Valley man was jailed Monday night in a stolen vehicle and drugs incident.

A Roseburg Police report said on Saturday officers contacted a victim who said his sedan had been stolen at approximately 8:00 p.m. Monday shortly after 5:00 p.m. the vehicle was caught by a Flock camera. Officers located it in the 2000 block of Stewart Park Drive.

46-year-old Timothy Hamilton was taken into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, just over 88 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a firearm were allegedly located. The sedan was released to a family member of the victim.

Hamilton was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession/concealment of firearms, and a felony count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was detained without bail.
