Sutherlin Police jailed a man after a stolen vehicle was recovered on Sunday afternoon.

An SPD report said just after 1:15 p.m. an automated license plate reader hit on the vehicle, which was located at Ford’s Pond, just west of Sutherlin. The 40-year-old driver was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was detained on $5,000 bail.
