ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED HARASSMENT EARLY MONDAY

Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged harassment early Monday.

An RPD report said at 1:20 a.m. officers responded to a residential care facility in the 3200 block of Northwest Broad Street after a caller said that a resident had just attacked two employees. Officers arrived and detained the 31-year-old suspect without issue.

Officers learned that employees had tried to stop the suspect from entering another resident’s room in the middle of the night and the suspect allegedly began fighting with them. During the scuffle, the man reportedly punched two of the employees. He was taken into custody on two counts of harassment. Bail was set at $5,000.
