ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED DISTURBANCE

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged disturbance on Saturday night.

An RPD report said just after 7:45 p.m. officers responded to a home in the 3200 block of Northwest Broad Street. During contact with two people, officers learned the man had allegedly taken the woman’s phone away after she told him she was going to call 911 during an argument. At some point, the man had reportedly grabbed onto the victim’s wrist, causing a small scratch.

He was taken into custody and charged with harassment and interfering with making a police report. The man was detained on $8,750 bail. He was released later that evening.
