An Oakland man was jailed for a DUII incident on Sunday afternoon.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 3:10 p.m. while traveling north on Old Highway 99 North near Crystal Lane in the Oakland area the 25-year old’s pickup mirror hit a victim’s vehicle causing damage to both vehicles.
While enroute to locate the suspect, another person reported a similar vehicle was crashed on Cystal Lane. Russell Schulz was still on the scene and obviously impaired. During standard field sobriety tests, Schulz reportedly blew a blood alcohol content of .26, which is over three times the legal limit for intoxication.
Schulz was charged with DUII, failure to perform the duties of a driver- property damage and a misdemeanor count of driving while suspended. He was detained without bail.
