A juvenile was taken to the hospital following a vehicle versus bicycle crash on Tuesday.

A Winston Police report said just after 5:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to the accident in the 300 block Southeast Grape Avenue. When officers arrived, they learned that a male juvenile on a bicycle was riding through a shortcut from Southeast Darrell Avenue to Grape when he rode out in front of a vehicle.

The juvenile was seen by the Winston-Dillard Fire Department before being transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for evaluation. The juvenile was later released from the hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
