ROSEBURG MAN JAILED AFTER PUBLIC GARBAGE BIN WAS SET ON FIRE

A Roseburg man was jailed after a public garbage bin was set on fire on Sunday morning.

A Roseburg Police report said at 9:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to the incident near the intersection of Northeast Fulton Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Officers contacted the 64-year-old nearby after his description was given by a witness who saw him messing with the garbage bin before the fire was started. The suspect admitted to setting fire to the garbage bin.

He was charged with reckless burning and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $12,500.
