Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Roseburg man for an alleged harassment incident on Sunday afternoon.

A DCSO report said at 2:30 p.m. a victim and a family member confronted the 64-year- old suspect about thefts and a stabbing he allegedly committed in Josephine County when the man reportedly “lost it”. The incident took place in the 1000 block of Arcadia Drive, northwest of Roseburg.

The man allegedly threw the victim to the ground and elbowed her in the face twice. She had no visible injuries but did have a blood smear from around her nose area to her cheek. The woman ultimately wanted to press charges.

The man was charged with harassment and was detained without bail.
