ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING AN ARGUEMENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an argument on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 10:55 p.m. the 32-year-old was involved in a verbal incident behind a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Officers contacted the man and saw that he was on probation with a stipulation that he not have contact with specific people or have any intoxicating substances.

The report said it was clear that the suspect was under the influence of a stimulant. His probation officer wanted him detained. He was placed in handcuffs without incident. The man was charged with a probation violation and was detained without bail.
