MYRTLE CREEK WOMAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED MENACING INCIDENT

A Myrtle Creek woman was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for an alleged menacing incident on Tuesday night.

A DCSO report said just before 11:30 p.m. a deputy was in the area of Pruner Road when he observed an active disturbance. He contacted the victim and the suspect and were able to separate them.

An investigation determined that the 36-year-old suspect had allegedly punched the victim numerous times and pulled a knife on him. The woman also reportedly threatened to stab the victim and cut his clothing. The incident was also caught on a recording.

The suspect was ultimately charged with menacing and unlawful use of a weapon. She was detained without bail and was released on Wednesday.
