Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged criminal mischief on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 4:30 p.m. officers responded to the 500 block of Southeast Rose Street after a caller said a man was intentionally throwing two large rocks at a vehicle that was parked at a business. The rocks the 70-year-old man allegedly threw also damaged another vehicle that was parked nearby. The suspect said he was upset at the owners of the business because he felt threatened, but that was not why he damaged the vehicle.

He was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $12,500.
