Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center has received a $45,000 grant investment from national nonprofit Petco Love in support of their lifesaving work for animals in Douglas County.

Since its founding in 1999, Petco Love has invested $375 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts. Petco Love helps find loving homes for pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations – like Saving Grace – across North America with 6.75 million pets adopted and counting.

Saving Grace Executive Director Jennifer Barta said, “Petco Love’s investment in Saving Grace is critical to offering quality medical care to our shelter pets, and low-cost spay/neuter services to the public. With Petco Love’s support, Saving Grace can save more lives and enable a more humane community by keeping people and pets together through our services”. Barta said, “As our shelter is almost always at capacity, grants and donations keep our doors open to continue to support our community”.

Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing temporary refuge, basic veterinary care and a pathway home for pets in Douglas County. In 2023, Saving Grace adopted 2,104 pets, received 2,167 stray pets and reunited 65% of lost dogs with their families.
