Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man on Sunday, charging him with menacing.

A DCSO report said at 7:30 p.m. officers contacted the man at a residence on Manor Loop in Green.  After a verbal disturbance over a lost six-pack of beer, the 58-year-old allegedly chased a victim through the house with a hunting knife. A witness said he saw the suspect going after the victim. The suspect was generally cooperative and admitted to most of the incident.

He was detained without bail.
